Perfect Practice Expectations
- Perfect Practice charts are designed to reward students for all aspects of practicing, not
just for "putting their time in."
- Students are awarded one sticker on their Perfect Practice Chart for different items
completed that week (completing practice goal, completing theory, and practicing scales).
- Students are encouraged to attain their goals! This is possible and each student should
reach for it! The charts are designed for a student to miss a few weeks and still be able
to fill up their Practice Chart.
- Students that fill up their Perfect Practice chart in the span of a semester will be awarded
a ribbon, as well as be entered into a drawing for a $20 gift certificate to Target!
- Teachers participate in their own competition. The teacher with the highest percentage of
students attaining Perfect Practice will receive their own award. Students are encouraged
to help their teacher win!
To motivate and encourage students, we use a Perfect
Practice chart at each lesson. This chart, used with fun
stickers, is a tool to accomplish our belief that music is
worth studying. This is a tangible way to celebrate the
student's success as they meet individual goals!
