How does this work?
When you work for Signature School of Music, you are an independent contractor. You are not guaranteed a set  amount of hours, but rather are offered
students when they become available. As an independent contractor, you are responsible for all taxes on income, as if you were self-employed. If
teaching a class, you may be responsible for extra teaching materials (especially if you are teaching a class and need to purchase non-consumable
materials).

SSM does all bookwork and billing for you. You are an independent teacher which allows you to deduct all business expenses from your income. (i.e.,$.
50.5 per mile that you travel, depreciation on your vehicle, any candy, stickers, or materials you purchase for students or for you to improve your skills.)
You can accept or reject any referral for any reason because you are in business for yourself. You have all the tax benefits of a small business owner.
SSM is simply reinforcing your business. You are a 1099 contract laborer, not an employee.

You may choose the hours you are available to teach. We carefully match students to the best teacher possible, and will fill your available hours as we
can. The longer you are with SSM, the more priority you will receive for receiving students.

Monthly meetings and weekly correspondence will encourage you on your journey and inspire you to reach your own personal goals.

Maybe you don’t have time for the paperwork and billing that is associated with being self-employed.  At Signature School of Music, we’ll handle it for
you.  When you are hired as an independent contractor, you’ll enjoy a worry-free experience as a private instructor.  Let us focus on the business.  You
just enjoy teaching.

There aren’t enough quality music teachers in the world.  We’re out to change that.  At Signature, we expect a lot out of our students.  By having high
standards, we’re accomplishing great and exciting things.  We select top musicians with incredible skills with working with children! Our families are
assured the most quality experience when they enroll with Signature. Maybe their next teacher will be YOU!
