Our Staff
Teachers affiliated with Signature Studios adhere to the highest standards. Each teacher is handpicked and carefully chosen to
line up with our standards and expectations. You can feel comfortable welcoming our teachers into your home and your lives and
be assured of integrity, character, and the highest level of music and art education with each one!
Private instructors are offered on-going training and monthly support meetings. All private instructors have a degree in music and
are actively involved in performance, writing, and arranging opportunities. All teachers have prior teaching experience.
Jennifer Hickle

Bio:
Jennifer began teaching in 1996. In high school, she received lessons from Dr. Richard Lange from Northwestern College
and with Dr. Herbert Johnson at North Central University. She graduated with a B.S. in Church Music (with an emphasis in
piano) from North Central University in 2000 as graduate of the year.
Jennifer is the Director of Signature Music Studios. Jennifer enjoys staying home and homeschooling her four children:
Ethan, 9, Elias, 7, Abigail, 5, and Lydia, 2.
Jennifer is a passionate, creative teacher and specializes in helping adults return to the piano once again, and also
launching students into playing by ear with improv and lead sheets for a band or worship team.
Andre Rodriguez

Bio: Andre Rodriguez started to learn piano at the age of four. During high school, he studied classical music with
Julliard graduate Dr. Pauline Martin. During this time, he also began to dabble in jazz and gospel. In 2005, he graduated
from North Central University with a B.S. in musical performance. Composing has been André's primary passion
throughout his career. In 2006, he was a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition. He was also selected
as one of Musician's Resource Magazine's top five up and coming songwriters of the year. André has had wonderful
opportunities to share his music. He has performed in Italy, England, Sweden, the Virgin Islands, and throughout the
United States. He has also performed with and played for Christian artists such as Paul Baloche, Shaun Groves, and
Mercy Me. Andre is husband to Lora and Daddy to Josiah.
KaraLynn Hemmer

Bio: KaraLynn has been teaching for 9 years. She specializes in teaching children as young as 4 or 5. She has high
expectations of her students, and feels that with the right motivation and encouragement, high goals can be met and
surpassed. She likes to have fun with her students, and encourage them to push themselves to new levels while enjoying
the journey.
KaraLynn graduated from North Central University with a major in music.
Tim and Linda Lindeen

Bio: Linda graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. She has taught music and directed musicals in grades
K-12 in public schools, the local church and in Christian school for over 30 years. She has also taught private piano and voice
lessons. She loves to teach children the joy of music, while always maintaining a high standard of excellence. Her desire is to
now offer her love of teaching and directing to the Home School community.
Linda has been married to her husband, Tim, for over 30 years. They met while preforming the Broadway musical, "You're a
Good Man, Charlie Brown." They played the parts of Lucy and Linus and that began a love for each other and acting and
directing musicals together ever since! Tim was a theatre major at Iowa State University and acted in many major
productions. After college, he entered the business world, while continuing his passion for acting and directing with wife,
Linda! He is known for bringing out the very best in every student or adult actor he works with!
Elizabeth Smith

Bio: Elizabeth Smith is a licensed Musikgarten teacher and a mom of three young children, Samuel, Serenity, and Katelyn!
She has experience teaching in a variety of settings: Christian schools, fitness studios, and the local church. She is full of
energy and creativity and absolutely loves kids of ALL ages! Elizabeth loves to sing and harmonize with her very talented
husband, Jordan.
Troy Hemmer

Bio: Troy, married to KaraLynn, has been playing guitar for 10 years and teaching for 3 years. He has toured nationally and
internationally with various music groups and loves to inspire others to pursue their goals. He loves to teach not only
guitar, but also music as a broader concept to help students understand the music they hear everyday. Troy teaches
acoustic and electric guitar to students from age 8 through adult at any level of experience. Troy has a bachelors degree in
Recording Arts from North Central University.

Bio: Emily is a piano performance graduate from Northwestern College. She has been teaching for 4 years. She loves not
only practicing and playing but working with people of all ages and backgrounds! Passing on a genuine, life-long passion for
music is her number one motivation for teaching piano. Music education allows her to combine her love of piano with her
desire to serve the community and pass on this passion. Emily believes few things are as satisfying as watching a student
grow musically and personally under a teacher's care and the relationship that develops with them.

Alex Seeman

Bio: Alex received his B.S. degree in Contemporary Christian Music, majoring in Piano, under Dr. Herb Johnson. He has
been teaching lessons for 6 years, and plays professionally in the Twin Cities area with numerous groups varying in
genres from Jazz, R&B/Soul, Worship, Country, Reggae/HipHop and folk. Alex enjoys catering his teaching style to each
student based on their strengths, learning style and interests while instilling sound technique and music theory concepts.
